Jerry Schulz

COCC | Dean of Extended Learning

Jerry Schulz is currently Extended Learning Dean for COCC.  In this role, he oversees three branch campuses located in Redmond, Madras and Prineville. He also oversees the Small Business Development Center, the Education Program at Deer Ridge Correctional Institution and COCC’s Continuing Education department.

Prior to his current job at COCC Jerry and his wife Charlene owned and operated one of the largest private computer schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Together they grew this school from a single classroom to 4 campus locations, 16 classrooms, over 50 teachers and thousands of clients.

Kandy Marling

In the Spring of 2013, Kandy returned to college to get a degree in Business Administration; she started her college education close to 40 years after high school! She has maintained a 4.0 GPA and graduated with highest honors and with her youngest daughter in June 2015. Kandy is the President for the COCC Business Club. She has a passion for helping other students and sharing what she knows. Kandy also spent 14 years volunteering with the Girl Scouts as a troop leader and local service-unit leader. “Working on the Oregon All-State Collegiate Startup Weekend from its inception gives me a sense of pride; “students empowering students!”
